These photographs depict the the freedom box and parchment which were presented by the Corporation of Drogheda to Henry Grattan, M.P., in 1782 which are now in the National Museum of Ireland. The photographs were presented by General Richard Mulcahy, T.D., Minister for Education, on behalf of the Government, on the occassion of his visit to officially open the Drogheda Muncipal Gallery Committee's first exhibition of Irish Art held at the Carnegie Library, Fair Street, Drogheda.
